Publishing books in Artforum started just as a number of other important steps in our lives - by the question: why not to do it? So we started to publish those, which we missed the most among Slovak translations and we wanted to have them here. And since for us book is not only a commodity but the need for life, it is important to give to every book, its ideas and its message the form which belongs to it.
That is why Artforum is also a publishing house. Our publishing plans are modest - a few books a year. But which books those are and will be - that is what we care for. If gradually we can make an unmistakable and significant footprint on the Slovak book market, doing that by books, which all offer the adventure of thinking, then we know that our publishing efforts have meaning.
